Father God,
In the Spirit,
We come to You asking for your blessing.
We are in need of your help.
We are failing you because your Church is divided.
Forgive us our failure to understand your will for unity.
Thank you for the new movement of the Holy Spirit which is among us. Your Spirit is troubling our spirits, stirring
our minds and sweeping through our churches. The Holy Spirit of Unity is striving daily with our settled spirits,
stirring us up to stronger commitments to the One Holy Christian Church.
Father God, we ask for your help. You have blessed us with life, the life of your Son Jesus. You have blessed
us with the constant intercession of the Holy Spirit. You have blessed us with the personnal gift of unity.
For Jesus sake, bless the Pope, our bishop in Rome; bless the Patriarches, our bishops in Antioch, Cairo,
Constantinople, Jerusalem, and Moscow.
Bless our leaders in the Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist and Presbyterian churches.
Bless our leaders in the Baptist, Nazarene, Churches of God in Christ, Pentecostal, and Assembly of God churhes.
Bless our leaders in the Assyrian, Armenian, Abysinianian, Caldonian, Coptic and Protestant churches
Send to us a powerful Spirit that will overwhelm our worries, that will overpower our fears, that will overcome our doubts
and that will overrule our parochial perrogatives,
in favor of the corporate unity of your One Holy Christian Catholic and Apostolic Church.
